Finished
The Wisdom of Psychopaths: What Saints, Spies, and Serial Killers Can Teach Us About Success by Kevin Dutton (I cannot express into words how often this author refuted his own arguments.)
Aztec Philosophy: Understanding a World in Motion by James Maffie (Amazing!)
Philosophy of the Ancient Maya: Lords of Time (Studies in Comparative Philosophy and Religion) by Alexus McLeod (Mostly great!)
Sisters in Spirit: Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Influence on Early American Feminists by Sally Roesch Wagner (Mixed feelings. Good content, but it’s an unfinished book.)
Traditional Lakota Songs by Ben Black Bear Jr. (Absolutely awful, do not buy. It’s just WW2 poems pretending to be “traditional” Lakota songs and some aren’t even complete poems.)
Popol Vuh translated by Allen J. Christenson (Great!)
Dine Bahane’: The Navajo Creation Story paraphrased by Paul G. Zolbrod (Good, but the way this author translated it is absolutely annoying.)
Religion and Ritual in Ancient Egypt: Emily Teeter (Flawed in terms of translating names into English equivalents, but a good read if you ignore this woefully inept translation in the beginning.)
Unfinished or only read Parts of:
Slightly over Half of Deep Work by Cal Newport (This author meanders about pointless crap too much to the point that it distracts from whatever arguments that he’s making.)
A Chapter of Wired to Create: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Creative Mind by Scott Barry Kaufman and Carolyn Gregoire
Repeatedly re-reading several chapters of Egyptian Mythology: A Guide to Gods, Goddesses, and Traditions of Ancient Egypt by Geraldine Pinch for clearer, albeit simplified reference on other Egyptian-related topics
About 25 percent of the first Dune book by Frank Herbert (Fantastic so far, but got distracted due to various real life problems that came-up.)
